Constitution & Objectives

RoMRA Constitution approved 31 January 2013

Primarily established to lobby the council and management company to improve conditions in and around the Ancoats area as part of the redevelopment of North Manchester the constitutional aims and objectives are now:

  • To represent all the residents within the Association area treating each building fairly, equally and as part of a wider community
  • To safeguard and promote the interest of residents on matters concerning housing and the environment
  • To promote, support and achieve changes and improvements to Royal Mills
  • To promote equal opportunities and work for good relations amongst all members of the community as detailed in section 3 of this constitution
  • To encourage a community spirit
  • To regularly consult and inform all members
  • To represent the majority view of the community
  • To be non party-political
  • To promote membership to all landlords, tenants and owner-occupiers in the Royal Mills Development
  • To promote better linkages with Ancoats Urban Village, and wider city centre communications
  • To promote the development locally, nationally and internationally
